Research at Dr. Chapman's Office
Glutathione and Autism
Dr. Chapman is studying the effect of glutathione replacement on the course and severity of symptoms of autism. Our work will contribute to the scientific body of information about children on the Autism Spectrum.
Glutathione is our body’s most potent, naturally occurring intracellular antioxidant. Glutathione is neuroprotective, immunoprotective and an important part of healthy cellular function. Recent research shows that patients with neurodevelopmental conditions (such as Autism, PDD and Asperger Syndrome)may have a deficiency in Glutathione. This deficiency points toward a promising new direction for prevention and treatment of these conditions. More about Glutathione...
